What is it?
The Director’s Cup is a spring-to-summer 2-person Association team match play competition with 3 guaranteed matches scheduled through June. The format allows players to play against each other that would not normally be paired or flighted together. Teams manage their own scheduling and compete using their handicaps in a net best ball format. Top teams advance to the playoffs held through out the summer, with seeding determined by points, tiebreakers, and hole differential. Group Play for the first matches is randomly drawn into 4 team Groups, similar to Pool Play held in other round robin events.
Fees and Schedule
April 1 – September 15, 2026
Entry Fee: $30 per player One Time. (No green fees)
Optional Carts per match: $20 per player
1st Match (Red): Must be played by 4/30/26
2nd Match (White): Must be played by 5/31/26
3rd Match (Blue): Must be played by 6/30/26
Playoffs: July – September (One Match Per Month)
Handicaps and Tees
Players use their current handicap index, which determines the tees they are eligible to play. Lower-index players are required to play longer tees, while higher-index players may choose from additional tee options. Once a tee is selected, handicaps are adjusted accordingly to ensure fair competition. All match handicaps are finalized and applied in Golf Genius after tees are confirmed by the players.
0 – 6.4: Black Tees
6.5 – 13.4: Black or White
13.5 – 18.0: Black, White or Green (Max HDP will be 18)
